Post Doctoral Position:
Graduate students in the Department of Neurobiology obtain the Ph.D. degree through the interdepartmental Neurosciences Ph.D. program. Accepted students receive funding for tuition and a living stipend. Applicants should familiarize themselves with the research interests of the faculty and, if possible, indicate their preference on the application form which is submitted directly to the Neurosciences Program.
Medical students also are encouraged to enroll in the Ph.D. program. The requirements of the Ph.D. program are fitted to the interests and time schedules of the student. Postdoctoral training is available to graduates holding Ph.D. or M.D. degrees, and further information is obtained directly from the faculty member concerned.

Postdoctoral positions are available at Stanford University, Department of Neurobiology, to study aspects of brain-wide neural communication underlying dynamic social interactions and its development. Our interdisciplinary laboratory operates in a highly collaborative community promoting scientific excellence and combines innovative state-of-the-art neural recordings and neural perturbation techniques, cellular imaging, game-theoretic and behavioral paradigms, with advanced computational and modeling methods.
The lab has open positions on a rolling basis with flexible start dates, from April 2018 on. We are looking for bright, highly motivated, detail-oriented team players. Experience in animal behavior and physiology /calcium imaging /programing /machine learning /computer vision is an advantage, but not required.
